I always love participating in the Blogger's Quilt Festival. A no-pressure, inspiration-filled way to share our recently finished quilts. Today, I am thrilled to enter my Modern Building Blocks quilt, a kit put together last year by Moda. It uses an amazing palette of Moda Bella solids and, I may have said this before once or twice, but I think this is my favorite quilt I have ever made!

Fabrics: various Moda Bella Solids

Quilting: Straight lines 3/4 inches apart
by Happy Me Quilting
I started it in August of last year, but I didn't finish the top until early this year. I contemplated the various quilt designs I could choose, and decided just to go with straight line quilting. The result is clean and doesn't distract or cloud the star of the show, which are the quilt blocks.
In fact, I almost feel like when you look at this quilt, it looks like a printed piece of fabric - all cohesive and unified as one design, despite the multitude of block sizes, colors and styles.
This quilt is now happily residing on my son's bed, until I can steal it back for him. His "forever" quilt is currently at the longarmer. I'll be sharing that with you soon!!
I hope you love this quilt as much as I do! Go visit all of the amazing quilts in this Festival, which runs May 15 - 29.
